I was born and mostly raised in Bermuda. I turned professional in tennis at 16, and I coached and played until 2018. That year I decided to pursue a career in computer science, which I had always had a passion for.
About
I grew up in Bermuda, played tennis professionally, and switched to computer science in 2018.
I started at Bermuda College and earned an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems in 2020. I then enrolled at Ontario Tech University and transferred to the University of Victoria in 2023 to complete my degree. I have since graduated and am now working.
While at Bermuda College I began work at Atsign, where I built expertise in designing secure systems, developing cryptographic technology, and creating security solutions for the IoT and insurance sectors.
I formed partnerships to address emerging cybersecurity challenges, shaped strategies that applied the security technology a startup was building, and led high-impact projects.
Through school and work I became proficient in threat detection, vulnerability assessment and secure database management, with a focus on countermeasures and system resilience. I'm used to agile teams and startups, and I build secure software in C, Python, Java and SQL.
I have worked extensively with machine learning theory and AI, including PAC learning, support vector machines and boosting. That covers algorithms for linear separators, uniform convergence, and information theory concepts such as Shannon entropy and KL-divergence. Most of my AI projects involve big data analytics.
I have also worked on networking projects, setting up and configuring web servers and using tools like Mininet, Hypervisor and ESXi. My projects often combine several technologies into robust, secure systems, and I'm comfortable with both the theory and the practice of computer science.
